The Marketing Dinner Club could use your help! The MDC is completely free and run entirely by a few volunteers spending their own time and money. Here are some simple, quick and free ways to help the club. Our group is made up of some of the best talent in marketing, social media, public relations, design and more, so we’d like to utilize that talent to help promote the club! As the group grows, we’ll be able to offer more and more dinners!
Tell anyone you know that works in marketing to check us out. Ask them to visit marketingdinnerclub.com or send them directly to the Linkedin page. Here are some simple things you can do:
- Take a minute to post about the group or the next dinner on sites like Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and others. Just make sure you tell them it’s for Marketing Professionals only.
- Once you join the club on Linkedin Groups, click “Share Groups” in the upper right-hand corner and either post to your updates, send to individuals, or send to other groups.
- “Like” the MDC Facebook page and tell people about us there.
- Email your contacts and send them to marketingdinnerclub.com!
Feel free to add interesting marketing articles, news, marketing events or questions to the discussions on Linkedin. You can add employment opportunities to the jobs area of the Linkedin group. You can share your experience with the dinners on our Facebook page. If you took any photos, you can post them for new members to see.
If you write press releases or a blog, we could use some press. It would be great to utilize the talent of our members and gain exposure for the group. Go ahead and share what we are doing with your local marketing community.
Now this is not for everyone… This is only for members who are serious about helping out. If you really believe in the group and you have been to at least 2 dinners, you could possibly host an event. This would allow us to have dinners more frequently. Please only volunteer if you really want to and you can commit to the work of setting up a dinner. You’ll be featured as the host of the evening and you’ll help pick the location, cuisine and date of the dinner. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested. Send us your contact info and let us know in what county(s) you want the event to be located. It will require research of locations, booking of the venue and possibly help with promoting. It’s not complicated, but we need someone who is reliable and will follow through. You may be asked to host 1 or 2 dinners per year.
If you are not located near any of our current chapters, you may want to start your own Marketing Dinner Club Chapter. Starting your own chapter takes a lot of time and work. You would be responsible for getting your own members, hosting dinners, creating and managing communication and invitations and more. If you are passionate about this idea and are responsible and determined, get in contact with us and we can discuss the possibility.
